Pastor Dan McDonald
As the leader of Glad Tidings Assembly of God, and as a member of the community he serves, Reverend Dan McDonald feels a burden for the needs of families. Through his leadership, this burden has carried over into the church body, whose vision is to not only spread the good news of Jesus Christ by word, but also by example. He has a passion for learning and teaching the truths of the Bible.
Rev. McDonald was first called to serve as youth leader at Glad Tidings in 1978, where his dad served as the Pastor. His next call was to pastor at First Assembly of God in Olathe, KS and then to Warrensburg, MO at First Assembly of God. Next he served as Senior Pastor at Abundant Life in Kennett, MO. After his dad retired, God called Rev. McDonald back to Kansas City, KS, the city where he grew up, and has served as pastor at Glad Tidings since 1996.
He and his wife, Farris, have been married for 38 years. They share two grown children, one grandson and have a grandchild on the way. In his spare time, Rev. McDonald enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, golfing, exercising and working on cars.
